North Korean leader and journalists in the "unprecedented behavior"

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un responded to questions posed by journalists at a summit with US President Donald Trump in Hanoi.
As media representatives were about to leave, leaving Kim and Trump on Thursday, a reporter asked: "President Kim, are you sure?"

As soon as the question was asked, Kim looked at his interpreter and said, "It's still early, but I'm not saying I'm pessimistic." Based on how I feel at the moment, I feel the results will be positive.

When another journalist asked Kim whether he really intended to disarm, he responded: "If I did not want to, I would not be here at this moment."

Trump was impressed by what he called "the best answer" he had heard so far. When Kim was asked whether he would make practical decisions, he replied: "That's what we're discussing now."

According to experts, this is the first time that the North Korean leader answers questions from reporters.

Trump and Kim leave Hanoi summit without agreement
Kim welcomed the possibility of opening an American liaison office in Pyongyang, while Trump described the move as "wonderful."

"Please, do not raise your voice, it's not like dealing with Trump," Trump said. The president refrained from answering a question about human rights in the isolated country.
