Explosion in a chemical factory in China .. The number of victims is "unknown"

An explosion rocked a chemical plant in eastern China, the official Agence France-Presse reported Thursday, quoting a Chinese official as saying the death toll from the blast was still unknown.
The blast occurred at the plant, which is run by Tianjiayi Chemical Company in Yanqing, Jiangsu Province, according to Chinese officials.

Photographs from the Chinese government's Web site, Beijing News, showed a huge explosion as flames mounted over the plant and heavy gray smoke poured from the blast site.

Last November, 23 people were killed and 22 others injured in an explosion followed by a fire near a chemical plant in Zhangjiagang City, about 200 km northwest of Beijing, which is to host the Winter Olympics in 2022.

In July 2018, an explosion at a chemical plant in China killed 19 people and injured 12 in a new accident in a series of industrial accidents in the world's largest chemical producer.
